Chocolate Devil Cake
Ingredients :
3 cups self-rasing flour
1 cups cocoa
2 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1 teaspoon essence of vanilla
4 eggs
1 tin evaporated milk
2 tablespoon vinegar
1/2 kg butter
A pinch of salt
Method :
Step 1 : Add the vinegar to milk in a bowl.
Step 2 : Heat the butter to melt in a suitable bowl.
Step 3 : Beat the eggs in a seperate bowl.
Step 4 : Add the flour, cocoa, sugar, salt & bicarbonate of soda in a bowl & mix them well.
Step 5 : Pour in gradually the melted butter, milk & beaten eggs into the above dry mixture.
Step 6 : Mix all thoroughly until the lumps are dissolved & then add the vanilla & mix well.
Step 7 : Bake at 180°C for 15 mins, then lower temperature to 160°C & bake for another 30 mins.
Step 8 : Use a cake tester to check whether the inside is fully baked before removing from the oven.
