Naan

 

Ingredients:

200 g bread flour
½ tsp salt
5 g dry active yeast
170 ml tepid water
Soft margarine
Sesame seeds & chopped garlic

Method:

1. Place flour and salt into a large mixing bowl.
2. Dissolve yeast in water & wait until it bubbles.
3.Slowly add yeast mixture to flour & knead into a dough.
4. Cover with a cloth and set aside to rest for an hour.
5. When dough has double it’s size, divide into 4 equal portions and roll out on a floured surface into oval shape.
6. Preheat oven at 230°C.
7. Place the dough on a baking tray that has been drizzled with olive oil.
8. Spread the top with soft margarine & bake it for about 10 mins.
9. Remove from the oven & sprinkle the top with sesame seeds or chopped garlic.
10. Put it back into the oven & bake until each bread should partially bubble up and colour slightly.
