Cheese Straws

Ingredients

500g  ‘Sunshine’ ready to roll & bake puffed pastry
125g (1/2 block) of ‘Kraft’ cheddar cheese
1 egg

Method

Grate the cheddar cheese finely
Roll out the puffed pastry
Sprinkle the grated cheese over the rolled out puffed pastry
Cut into long strips approximately 15cm x 4cm
Lift up one strip at a time & twist around to form a twirl
Place on a non-stick baking tray
Brush over with beaten egg
Bake in the oven for 25 – 30 minutes or until crisp & golden
